Cambodia Gambling Dens

There is an appealing story to the Cambodia gambling dens that reside just across the border from next door Thailand, where gambling hall betting is not legal. Eight casinos are situated in a relatively small location in the metropolis of Poipet in Cambodia. This band of Cambodia casinos is in an excellent area, a 3 to four hour drive from Bangkok and Macao, the two largest gaming locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a thriving business with Thai blue-collar workers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The phenomenal income acquired from the gambling dens ranges from $7.5 million to over 12.5 million dollars, and there are a number of controls requirements for casino ownership. Ownership is presumed to be mainly Thai; however, financing sources are ambiguous. The borders are officially open from 0900 to 5:00 p.m., and though visas are for all intents and purposes needed to cross, there are ways around this, as is real of many border crossings.
The original Cambodia gambling dens opened in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving only 1 casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a stationary ship gambling hall, highlights one hundred and fifty slot machines and sixty gaming tables. The Naga gambling den is open 24 hours with 42 tables of mini-punto banco, 4 tables of vingt-et-un, 10 of roulette, 2 of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The first gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in the late nineties and the Golden Crown before long followed. There are one hundred and fifty one armed bandits and five table games at the Golden Crown and 104 slots and 68 gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort highlights three hundred slot machines and seventy tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six slot machine games and 96 table games, including 87 baccarat chemin de fer (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 slot machines and sixty six of the normal gaming tables, as well as a single table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight casinos in Poipet, also in a motel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slots and 97 games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an international vacation and hotel building that features many amenities on top of the gambling hall, which provides 10,000 sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty slot machines and 88 gaming tables.
