Cambodia Gambling Halls

There is a fascinating background to the Cambodia casinos that lie just over the border from neighboring Thailand, where casino wagering is not allowed. Eight gambling dens are based in a relatively tiny location in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia casinos is in an excellent destination, a 3 to four hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular gaming locations in Asia. Cambodia gambling halls do a huge business with Thai blue-collar workers and tourists from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The phenomenal capital gained from the casinos ranges from seven and a half million dollars to more than 12.5 million dollars, and there are a number of controls requirements for gambling hall ownership. Ownership is required to be mainly Thai; still, funding sources are vague. The borders are ceremoniously open from 0900 to 1700, and although visas are allegedly required to pass, there are methods around this, as is accurate of most border crossings.
The initial Cambodia gambling dens premiered in Phnom Penh in the mid nineties, but were forced to close in the late nineties, leaving just a single casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a docked barge gambling hall, features 150 slot machine games and sixty table games. The Naga river boat is open 24 hours with forty two tables of mini-baccarat banque, 4 tables of chemin de fer, ten of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.
The initial casino in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, opened in 1999 and the Golden Crown quickly opened. There are 150 slots and 5 tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machine games and 68 gaming tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort features 300 slots and 70 table games and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has one hundred and sixty six one armed bandits and 96 gaming tables, including 87 baccarat banque (the most dominant game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Also, there is the Casino Tropicana, with one hundred and thirty five slot machines and 66 of the common table games, as well as 1 table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight casinos in Poipet, also a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machines and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-around vacation and hotel building that contains many conveniences aside from the gambling den, which has ten thousand square feet of 130 slot machines and 88 gaming tables.
