There is a fascinating background to the Cambodia casinos that lie just over the border from neighboring Thailand, where casino wagering is not allowed. Eight gambling dens are based in a relatively tiny location in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia casinos is in an excellent destination, a 3 to four hour travel from Bangkok and Macao, the two most popular gaming locations in Asia. Another one of the eight casinos in Poipet, also a part of a motel, is the Princess Casino with 166 slot machines and ninety seven casino games. The Star Vegas Casino is is located in an all-around vacation and hotel building that contains many conveniences aside from the gambling den, which has ten thousand square feet of 130 slot machines and 88 gaming tables.
