Gaming supervisors oversee gaming operations and workers in an assigned area. Circulating among the table games, they ensure that all stations and games are attended to for each shift. It also is common for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating regulations for clients. Supervisors could also plan and organize activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.
Gaming supervisors must have certain leadership qualities and excellent communication skills. They need these techniques both to supervise employees excellently and to greet guests in order to establish return visits. Most casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. Despite their educational background, however, many supervisors gain experience in other wagering jobs before moving into supervisory desks because an understanding of games and casino operations is important for these staff.
